Editorial Standards

These standards describe how ZUAS Network reports, labels and corrects its work. They apply to everything we publish.

Accuracy and sourcing

We rely on primary sources wherever possible: regulator releases, court filings, company announcements, official data and on-the-record interviews. Every factual article lists its sources at the end, with links, so readers can check our work. When a figure comes from a company or an interested party, we say so.

Summaries of other outlets’ reporting

Some briefs summarise reporting first published elsewhere. They are written in our own words, name the original outlet, link to it, and state that they are not original ZUAS Network reporting. We do not reproduce other publications’ articles.

Allegations and findings

We keep allegations and established facts apart. Complaints, lawsuits, charges and claims by researchers are reported as allegations until a court or regulator makes a finding. Settlements are described accurately, including whether wrongdoing was admitted or denied. When we report serious allegations against a person or company, we seek their response and include it when we receive it.

Labels

  • News and Briefs report what happened.
  • Analysis and Explainers interpret and explain reported facts.
  • Opinion is clearly labelled and reflects the author’s view.
  • Status labels such as Allegations, Proposal or Developing tell readers how settled a story is.
  • Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, will be labelled at the top with the sponsor’s name. We do not currently accept it.

Conflicts of interest

ZUAS Network’s owner, Mark, also provides digital marketing and SEO services to businesses, some of which operate in sectors we cover. We handle this as follows:

  • Any article about a company that is a client, or was a client in the previous 12 months, carries a disclosure at the top.
  • Clients cannot pay for coverage, request favourable coverage, or review articles before publication.
  • We do not remove or soften accurate reporting at a client’s request.
  • Marketing services are never offered as a condition of, or in exchange for, coverage.

Use of AI

We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. A person reviews every article and checks it against its sources before it is published. Illustrations labelled as AI-generated are conceptual images; they do not show real events, people or products.

Dates and updates

Articles show when they were published and when they were last updated. When an update changes the substance of a story, we add a note explaining what changed.

Corrections

We correct errors openly. See our Corrections page for how to report one.
